Pickers are paid $7.00 per tote picked, (photo at right).   The more you pick, the more you can make.  The average picked per day was in the 20 tote range, but the top pickers picked 40-50 totes per day.
There is a campground provided at our home farm for you while you work with us complete with kitchen, bar-b-que, toilet, and hot shower facilities.  It's not luxurious but it is a safe, fairly quiet place to stay while you are working.  We have basketball, volleyball, badmiton, ping pong, & popcorn movie nights  Unfortunately for dog owners the campground is "dog free".  We love 'em & have a couple of dogs ourselves, but experience has shown that dogs in the campground & orchard do not work out.
Most of our workers at harvest are of college/university age, some with prior experience and some without.  While we love to hire experienced pickers prior experience is not required.  We all had to learn sometime. We do, however, give priority to the folks who have picked for us before. It's a great way to make some money before you go back to school and it's an experience you'll never forget.

If you would be interested in experiencing the harvest with us please E-mail or call us by July 1st at the latest.  The sooner you do the better your chances of being hired.  If you are calling, please leave a message if we are not here.  Better yet, keep calling till you get us.  Maybe we'll see you in July.
